type 15 - You find yourself constantly having heavily romanticized daydreams about being a leftist. They usually follow two paths: In the first, you become a renunciant, moving to the wilderness and subsisting as a nomadic hunter-gatherer until you can build a small dwelling place and begin growing crops. You then sneak into the nearest town and steal a mechanical typewriter and a ream of paper on which you write your story, emerging from the woods naked, holding your finished manuscript. That's when it's time to find a publisher. In the second, you join the international anti-globalization movement and join protests against the WTO, IMF, and World Bank in cities all over the world. Your tactics become increasingly violent, and eventually you are shot at close range by a police officer at whom you threw a rock. You are memorialized in the pages of Adbusters, and the subject of a think-piece in the New York Times. These daydreams usually end when your manager peeks over the wall of your cubicle to ask you how it's going.
