Type16 - You have immersed yourself in a particular sub-culture. You revel in the fact that your entire peer group, and even your professional life reflect this high degree of specialization. Everyone you know and associate with are "into" the same things. You are regarded highly by these people, for you have learned the rules of this sub-culture so well that you can now dictate new rules (in the off-handed, nonchalant manner that characterizes the confident expert) to both initiates and veterans of your clique. The thing that surprises you is that this acclaim and confidence does not translate into the world at large, and you face increasing difficulty in relating to people who aren't "in the know." You feel as though you have nothing to offer intellectually or emotionally, and your tendency to distance yourself from macro-culture leads you to worry that your micro-culture (and indeed, your very existence) is totally irrelevant.
